Snoqualmie Falls
17 Nov 2019

This week went by pretty quickly. This weekend I wanted it to take it more low-key. Friday night and Saturday, aside from skating, I stayed indoors. The weather was a bit grey and gloomy, rainy too.

Earlier today, the weather cleared up slightly in the morning, and I even felt some sun and saw a patch of blue skies on my way to Snoqualmie Falls. Only 35 minutes outside the city, the Falls are more of a tourist attraction than a hike. There’s a parking lot right at the upper viewpoint, and a quick hike down to the lower falls viewpoint (which was closed) and a rocky river bank. On the trek down, there are plenty of local flora to explore.

All in all this could be a quick 30-minute stop on I-90 en route to another hike deeper into the Cascades.

And of course, heading out to east side is always a great excuse for a post “hike” snack–Little Ting’s claypots and MeetFresh treats.
